Practices

Mr. Wu PENG has been practicing as a Chinese patent attorney for more than 20 years. He has rich practical experiences in handling international patent matters.

Mr. Wu PENG’s practice area includes patent drafting, prosecution, reexamination, invalidation, litigation, FTO, due diligence, and legal opinions; trademark prosecution, opposition, and invalidation.

He assisted Chinese applicants to prosecute patents in numerous countries and regions including United States, Europe, Japan, Korea, Canada, Australia, India, etc. He prosecuted over 1,000 patent applications before CNIPA on behalf of many famous multinational companies, such as General Motors, Toyota, Sony, Honeywell, Bosch, etc.

He is also skilled in handling design applications, and has helped domestic and foreign clients to prosecute design applications in China and foreign countries.

Before founding Cheng & Peng, he worked for a well-known Chinese patent agent firm and headed a team for a well-known multinational automotive company from 2009 to 2012, and was responsible for guiding team members on the prosecution of patent applications of this multinational automotive company before CNIPA. Mr. Wu PENG was awarded the title of “top ten outstanding patent attorneys” by this firm in 2011.
