Mr. Guangming LIU has an excellent educational background in the field of information and communications technology (ICT) and nearly 20 years of intellectual property experience. He studied at Tsinghua University during 1996 - 2003 and obtained B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electronic Engineering. After graduated, he worked at China Sinda Intellectual Property Ltd. as a partner and head of Electronic Patents for 12 years. Mr. Liu founded IPfaith Partners in 2015 and had been running the firm for 4 years. Before joining Cheng & Peng, Mr. Liu was IP Director General at Yuhong IP Law Firm. As a senior patent attorney, he is good at dealing with all kinds of intellectual property practices. Especially for both inbound and outbound foreign patent applications, he is able to provide expert services for difficult and complex matters. His clients include not only numerous Fortune 500 companies, but also quite a few successful small and medium-sized start-ups. Mr. Liu is a patent litigator recognized by the Supreme Court and is qualified as an attorney-at-law. He is experienced in patent drafting, filing, prosecution, reexamination, invalidation, litigation, freedom-to-operate (FTO) analysis, due diligence, portfolios, and legal opinions in many technical fields such as electronic circuit, communications, signal processing, semiconductor, computer software and hardware, Internet of Things (IoTs), home appliances, medical devices, etc. Mr. Liu’s working languages are Chinese (native) and English.
