Dr. Ke DENG Joined Cheng & Peng

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Ke Deng joined Cheng & Peng in September 2021. 


Dr. Ke Deng has an excellent educational background and extensive research experience. Dr. Ke Deng studied electrical power engineering and automation at Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 2006 to 2010 and obtained a bachelor's degree. From 2011 to 2012, he studied at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in systems engineering and engineering management, and obtained a master's degree. In 2012, he was awarded the Cambridge Overseas Trust and Sun Hung Kai Kwoks’ Foundation Scholarships to study nuclear energy engineering at the Engineering Department of the University of Cambridge and obtained a master's degree in 2013. From 2014 to 2015, he worked as a research associate in the Department of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering of the City University of Hong Kong. Under the direct supervision of Professor Jian Lu, an Academician of the National Academy of Technologies of France, Dr. Ke Deng participated in the nuclear energy policy research of Hong Kong Academy of Engineering Sciences, as well as the high-performance energy absorbing structure research and development project supported by Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Fund. In 2015, he started his PhD at the Cavendish Laboratory of the University of Cambridge. During this period, he developed a wealth of scientific research experience in the use of neutrons and synchrotron radiation at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in the United Kingdom. Dr. Ke Deng received his doctorate in 2020. Subsequently, he continued his study at Brunel University London Law School and obtained a postgraduate certificate in intellectual property law in 2021. In addition, Dr. Ke Deng engaged in electrical engineering related technical and managerial duties in the industry for two years. Dr. Ke Deng is a member of the UK Institute of Physics and the Hong Kong Nuclear Society. His working languages are Chinese (native) and English.
